Brianna and David didn’t let rain put a damper on their wedding day. These two were up for just about anything, including having their ceremony outdoors while it rained. You two rock!
These images represent a handful of the incredible moments from my 2017 wedding season. To all of my clients: thank you so much for choosing me to document your best day ever! I’m so excited for everything 2018 will bring! Cheers to the New Year!
Anna and Adam are so much fun! Their wedding day was a perfect representation of who they are as a couple. It was fun, goofy, and romantic. There were so many great dances. One of my favorite moments of the day was during their reception when everyone circled around Anna as she danced to the song “Me too” by Meghan Trainor, it was amazing. Happy almost three months of marriage to these two lovebirds!
I first met Kari when she was the Maid of Honor in Lindsay & Steve’s wedding last summer. A few months later she met Kenn, and then a few months after that they got engaged!! I was crossing my fingers that she would ask me to photograph their wedding, so when she did I was overjoyed! Kari and Kenn are so perfect for each other, they are both kind, caring and hilarious. Naturally their wedding day was amazing and SO much fun!
Garrett and Julie said “I do” in July. It was a gorgeous day full of laughter and love! Congratulations you two!
Julie shared a little bit of their love story with me:
“It all started during the summer after high school graduation. We were both at a friend’s bonfire when Garrett just sat on my lap. As the night went on he continued to sit on my lap as we were hanging out with friends. Later that night, after I went home Garrett messaged me on Facebook to ask me for my number. Of course I gave it to him and we spent that night texting until we fell asleep. That was the beginning of one special summer. A few weeks later Garrett official asked me to be his girlfriend. We had such a great summer but it came time to start school in the fall. We had a long distance relationship during the first semester of college, he was at Bemidji State University and I was at Winona State University. At the end of our first semester Garrett transferred down to Winona State to finish his degree and to be closer to me. As college continued, we grew closer than ever and our relationship became more serious. Then we made the big step to move in with each other. After about two years of living together and so many memories, Garrett got down on one knee proposed to me.”

Brianna and Travis had an amazing wedding day. It was full of so much love, laughter and a few tears. One of the most memorable parts of the reception was when each table was instructed to select a couple to cut their cake centerpiece and feed it to each other at the same time as the Bride and Groom. So cute!

In June, Lauren and Erik tied the knot and I had the honor and joy of flying out to New Jersey to capture it all. The whole day was so much fun! One example of this was during the reception, which featured a lot of classic love songs, including some from the movie The Parent Trap, Lauren and her twin sister Netty spontaneously got a chance to do the handshake from the movie. The entire day was filled with so much joy and excitment They have such a sweet love story, so I’ll let Lauren tell you a little bit about how it all began:
“Erik and I met while being camp counsellors at a camp in Pennsylvania when I was 16 and he was 15. We wrote letters to each other for two months after camp ended. We were just writing letters as friends but when he called me beautiful in a letter it was clear that there was something more there. We went on our first date to chili’s back in 2010 and would see each other once a month for the following two years of high school. I lived by the city and he by the beach so we were an hour away from each other. A lot of driving and train rides! We continued to date throughout college making our distance up to 5 hour drive and seeing each other once a month. Towards the end of college Erik proposed.”
And the rest is history! Congratulations you two!!
